School's in at The Dog's Den and our resident dog expert Barbara Lloyd is looking
forward to meeting you and your pooch. Our professional services include: manners,
agility, tricks, confidence and outdoor classes, behavioural consultations and certified
service dog training.
 At
The Dog’s Den our classes teach you and your dog valua ble life skills that effectively translate into manners at
home and in other social settings. Your dog will learn to walk on a loose leash,
sit and stay while doors are opened and closed, down stay, go to a target and stay,
come when called and learn to keep four on the floor. This is achieved through Barbara
Lloyd's thorough knowledge and understanding of how dogs and people learn. Training
your dog at The Dog's Den will be a fun, positive, rewarding experience for you
and your dog.
Manners Classes include
six hours of instruction and are one hour in length once a week for six weeks. Each
class has a maximum of eight dogs. This low student to teacher ratio ensures maximum individual attention. All dogs are taught
a base curriculum and family participation is encouraged.
All of our training programs are taught by a Dog Specialist & Behaviourist and
are Veterinary recommended. The use of compulsion based methods including: choke
chains, slip collars and prong collars are strictly prohibited.
If your pet is having Behavioural Issues such as aggression, biting, chewing, barking,
separation anxiety, puppy problems etc. we provide Behavioural Consultations in the privacy of your home or at
our studio to identify the problems and behaviour modification programs to facilitate
resolutions.
Private one-on-one dog training
sessions are offered in the privacy of your home or at our studio, and for
those clients who want a well-mannered pet but do not have the time to dedicate
to training, we will train your pet for you.
We also provide specialty services to
Train and Certify Service Dogs.
